"It's a question of love..."

I wish that I didn't get so caught up in politics sometimes, but the issue of gay marriage is so much more than just politics. First of all, this is not even an issue that should be voted on, but because it has come to this, everyone must ask theirselves what the right choice is. We should all ask ourselves, what would you do if the majority voted that YOU couldn't get married? I'm so hopeful and excited to see where the future takes us with a true leader in the white house now and I can only hope that my future children are born into a world where everyone is considered equal.

To quote The Beatles, "All you need is love!"

I disagree with your point of view. Legalizing gay marriage opens the doors to other groups who may want to have marriage legalized for them, too. I don't know about you, But I do not want to live in a world where a father can marry his daughter. Or a man can marry several wives. Who knows, maybe even animal/human marriage could be legalized. prop 8 is not anti-gay. It is PRO-FAMILY!!!

Comparing gay marriage to incest or animal marriages is flawed logic. Consenting adults have the right to marry. That's the bottom line. Just because someone disagrees with it or feels that their "idea" of family is threatened, doesn't mean they can impose their ideas on the rest of the country.

Before I dropped in to check out your new posts, I had just posted this same clip to my blog!! I even sent out an email to all my peeps. This was great commentary & I was totally inspired by his words. Its interesting, the anonymous comment you recieved.
I don't want to live in a world where a father can marry his daughter either, however think of all the awful things that some fathers do to their daughters anyway. Or Mothers for that matter. Maybe instead of fighting so hard to ban gay marriage people can fight for the rights of incest survivors, domestic violence survivors, abuse & rape victims. Now that would be a cause worth standing behind!!! The term pro-family makes no sense to me in this argument, as a family is many things to many people. A family is LOVE! On that note, Danielle I consider you my family & for that I am blessed!
